7 of 8 people found the following review helpful This amp, June 4, 2005 By This review is from: SONY XM-2200GTX 2/1 XPLOD Channel Amplifier (Electronics) I got this amp powering 2 1300W sony x-plod turbo subs with a 300 watt JVC receiver and I just got two tickets for loud music. LOL That should explain everything. The amp sounds great especially if you know how to hook up sounds. I got it hooked up weird but it sound betterlike that. Trust me turn all the bass down from the receiver and let the amp talk.
UNBELIEVABLE BOOM, January 28, 2009 By This review is from: SONY XM-2200GTX 2/1 XPLOD Channel Amplifier (Electronics) I got this amp to power 2 kicker CVR10 with Pioneer head unit in my 97 Toyota Camry. The bass and loudness cracked my passenger window. I'm running them unbridged because i can't stand the bass when bridged.
BOOM, October 14, 2008 By Will (Army, All over) - See all my reviews This review is from: SONY XM-2200GTX 2/1 XPLOD Channel Amplifier (Electronics) I bought this Amp used, with a pair of Sony XPlod 12" speakers and an enclosure. It's running via RCA jacks from a cheap Pioneer CD player.
You can see the setup here: [...]
Although someone told me using the Sony amps bridged they burn out easy, I've been running mine pretty loud (unbridged!) for a couple years without any issues whatsoever. The amp has plenty of power, more than I need, really.
